Il brand tedesco diventa l'official technical partner delle due federazioni continentali

In the space of two days, PUMA has signed two fundamental agreements to consolidate its position in the global sportswear scene by becoming the official technical partner of CONMEBOL and CAF. As a result, starting next year, the South American and African federations will have the same brand produce the balls for major continental competitions such as the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, the Copa América, the Libertadores and the Sudamericana. PUMA will also produce the uniforms for the referees and field players and participate in numerous marketing initiatives to promote football on both continents.
In both Africa and South America, PUMA has a rich and long football history. On the African continent, the company started outfitting national teams in 1997 and today has agreements with six football federations, including Morocco, the first African nation to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup, and Senegal, the current African champions. CAF President Patrice Motsepe expressed his delight at the new agreement. "To make African football globally competitive, African teams need to win on the pitch, which requires partnerships with global companies that are strongly committed to African football. We are delighted that a world-class brand like PUMA is joining the CAF family as a strong partner to help us grow football on the continent."
CONMEBOL President Alejandro Dominguez concurred: 'It is a great satisfaction to work with a company of international prestige and a brand that is recognised worldwide. South American football is characterised by the talent, passion and fighting spirit of its players. We are confident that PUMA also embodies these values'.
