Parmalat returns as sponsor on Academy Parma Calcio jersey
The sponsor that marked an era for the Emilian club
October 20th, 2023
For many years, Parmalat was a symbol of Italian football, a logo that guaranteed absolute recognition to one of the strongest teams in our league at the turn of the 1990s and early 2000s. Many players have worn the yellow and blue jersey of Parma Calcio with Parmalat sponsors, from Crespo to Adriano, passing through Fabio Cannavaro and Filippo Inzaghi. After years of absence, the Emilian club has announced that Parmalat will return as Main Sponsor on its jerseys, in this case those of the Academy Parma Calcio, the project dedicated to the youth sector and the training of talents, also becoming a partner of the "forma la tua passione" project, dedicated to the schools of Parma and its province.
The historical brand is part of a project that aims to first of all link the club to the territory, considering how much Parmalat still represents one of the most important companies in the Emilian province. The Collecchio-based company will then promote the development of the Academy's players, through educational and growth programs. Parmalat Educational will be the driving force behind the partnership, and for the time being, the special jersey that the children of the first primary schools who adhere to the 'shape your passion' project will receive has been presented. Certainly the effect of seeing the Parmalat sponsor again on the Gialloblù uniforms brings back memories of the legendary ones of the 1990s, linked to the eight trophies in the space of a decade that had guaranteed Parma the reputation of being one of the '7 sisters' of Italian football.
