After its great sporting successes in recent seasons, Arsenal is once again one of the clubs that call the shots when it comes to style, thanks to its numerous collaborations with fashion brands. After the collaboration with Stella McCartney for the women's team, it is now the turn of streetwear brand Maharishi, with whom the North London club works together with its technical sponsor adidas. A collection that can be worn both on and off the pitch, with a range of pre-match jerseys, training trousers, a Gore-Tex shell and an adidas spezial.
Founded in London in 1994, the brand has built a strong bond with the English capital, which is also reflected in its collaboration with Arsenal. The brand's most famous motifs, inspired by Asian iconography and military references, are reflected in the collection's design. For example, the embroidery of the dragon embracing the Gunners' cannon, or the Maharishi logo, which can be removed from the jersey thanks to a Velcro fastener. Hardy Blechman, founder of Maharishi, says: 'As an Arsenal fan, it is an absolute honour to be involved in this collection. It combines the best of adidas performance with Maharishi's streetwear aesthetic.
The collection will be worn by the men's and women's teams from 28 October. The men's first team will warm up in the jersey and run on in the jacket ahead of their Premier League match against Sheffield United at Emirates Stadium. Due to extremely limited availability, the collection has been made available for sale through the club's Arsenal Direct Channel.
