Manchester United's New Order inspired collection
It is the second drop of the capsule created by adidas originals and Peter Saville

Manchester United and adidas are once again working with legendary Mancunian designer Peter Saville for their second collection. This time the collection is dedicated to the legendary local music group New Order and their album 'Power, Corruption and Lies'. While the first collection focused on Saville's iconic design of the Joy Division album 'Unknown Pleasures' reinterpreted with the heart rate data of Manchester United players, the latest collection is inspired by the colour wheel of the New Order album 'Power, Corruption and Lies'. Using the full colour palette in a new and unexpected way, the collection features a tracksuit with the band echoing the album's design on the left and the three stripes in one hue on the right.
This is complemented by a long-sleeved jersey and shorts with the same graphic element defined by the colour of the original artwork of 'Blue Monday', which in the collection is in alphabetical order: Concilio et Labore, the motto of the city of Manchester in Latin. A connection that not only refers to the club itself, but also to Saville himself and his relationship with the city of Manchester through his music label Factory Records, which transformed the local creative scene. A relationship that still affects the Red Devils' aesthetic today, as Garnacho was exposed to b for perhaps the first time in his life.
For those yearning for Manchester's music scene, a limited edition concept album entitled Sound of Manchester will be released by Manchester's Piccadilly Records on 3 November to celebrate the release. The two-sided album features, on one side, sound recordings made at Old Trafford during United's crucial game against Sheffield Wednesday in the 1992/93 season, at the end of which the Red Devils won their first Premier League title. The other side recalls the power of Manchester culture as told by the poet John Cooper-Clarke.
