Senegal, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Ghana and Morocco the national teams chosen by new sponsor PUMA
November 2nd, 2023
To celebrate the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, PUMA has unveiled the ftblCulture fanwear collection for Egypt, Morocco, Ivory Coast, Senegal and Ghana. The bold collection takes the bespoke details of the African federations' away kits and reinterprets them to create unique garments that bring the cultural iconography of each nation to life. The iconography includes the lion jaws of Senegal, the elephant tusks of Côte d'Ivoire, the pyramids of Egypt, the textiles of Ghana and the cellular art of Morocco.
The fanwear collection for each federation includes a T-shirt, track jacket and trousers, hoodie, sleeveless T-shirt, shorts and bucket hat. Following the signing of a historic agreement with the African Football Confederation (AFCON), PUMA has started promotions and collections for the African national teams. Fanwear is becoming increasingly important for sports brands as it can create a unique and compliant aesthetic profile between the pitch and the stands. And Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Egypt, Ghana and Morocco are just some of the most colourful and recognisable fans on the African continent waiting for the next surprises.
