Stadiums where you can comfortably watch the game from home
When the balcony becomes the people's skybox

We are now used to futuristic stadiums, to facilities that can live and calculate seven days a week. Facilities that are self-sufficient and sustainable in every way and capable of attracting new spectators, from families to die-hard fans who follow the team Sunday after Sunday. However, this concept does not apply to provincial pitches, especially not in Italy, where time has often stood still and facilities have remained faithful to the design of the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.
Facilities that were born into the urban fabric and over time have been surrounded by new buildings, so it is now not uncommon to see them peeking out from old buildings that offer the lucky tenant an exceptional view of the stadium. There are several such cases in Italy, especially in the stadiums of lower-category clubs that started out as municipal facilities and later became the official home of the home team. It is enough to watch a few Serie C matches to find stadiums where you can watch the game from the comfort of your own home, without having to rush, buy a ticket or queue. A solution that is not accessible to everyone, but is definitely an alternative way to watch your favourite team.
Stadio Giuseppe Moccagatta - Alessandria
Few, but good seats: Directly behind the side stand in Alessandria is a complex of houses that offers a privileged view of the pitch. During the Alessandria game, some often have their shutters down, but many make use of their balcony, where VAR cameras could also be installed if necessary, so that there is no longer any doubt about possible offside positions.
Stadio Romeo Menti - Castellammare
The stadium in Castellammare, which bears the same name as the one in Vicenza, is more than unique. The stadium is surrounded by a multitude of buildings and at 2 p.m. sharp, the time at which Lega Pro matches are usually played, all the residents are ready to enjoy the spectacle from above and watch the game with the utmost serenity and comfort. The perfect home for any football fan.
Stadio Alfredo Viviani - Potenza
Not a very modern stadium, but a must-see at least once in a lifetime, as some parts of the Potenza stadium are listed as historical monuments because they were built in the 1930s. A breathtaking backdrop that captivates opponents every time and certainly deserves an honourable mention compared to the stadiums featured in this article.
Stadio Comunale - Chiavari
Also under the protection of the Regional Superintendence of Fine Arts, you can watch the game from the comfort of your own home from the Entella stadium without having to make the slightest effort to go to the stadium. Although it doesn't have a privileged view like the others, it does have small windows through which you can see and enjoy both the cheers of the crowd and the game.
Stadio Amerigo Liguori - Torre del Greco
Named after the first citizen and former president of the team, as well as one of the founders of Turris, it is even possible to stay at home to watch the game from the stadium, which is located near Naples. The stadium was renovated in 2019 along with the stadiums of Naples and Caserta, but its physiognomy has not been affected, so that the various tenants can still watch the game without much effort and with a peaceful view from the window.
