The fourth kit of Real Madrid is on its way
It will be released at the beginning of 2024 and maybe will be a Y3 collabo
November 22nd, 2023
According to some leaks, 2024 for Real Madrid is expected to start with the arrival of a new kit. In all likelihood, it won't be a special edition but rather a fourth official uniform to be used during the current season. The Blancos are no strangers to fourth kits. In the 2021/2022 season, adidas, in collaboration with Y3, created an all-black kit and a pink goalkeeper shirt for Real Madrid, aimed at celebrating the club's 120th anniversary and the 20th year of the partnership between the two parties. Trusting the rumors, the team coached by Carlo Ancelotti will wear a purple kit, probably echoing the aesthetics of the away kit used during the glorious 2016/2017 season for the club.
With this introduction, the Merengues would partially respond to the many innovations brought to the field by Barcelona, a club that has lined up several special edition jerseys thanks to its partnership with Spotify, both at the end of the last season and the beginning of the current one. It is still unknown whether the Yohji Yamamoto brand will be involved in this case. However, jersey enthusiasts are strongly hoping for it. The Asian designer established a connection with Real Madrid starting from the 2014/2015 season, creating a third jersey that became famous. We are talking about the jersey featuring mythological figures of the Dragon King and the Dragon Bird, respectively positioned on the front and back. Witnessing the launch of an interesting kit, even half as captivating as the one from the 2014/2015 season, would be sufficient – it became one of the rarest and most incredible jerseys in the contemporary history of football, to be blown away by the hype, especially at a time when soccer jerseys have taken a real role in shaping fans' anticipation.
