The Paris Saint-Germain jersey with South Korean characters
Worn in the victory at Le Havre's home

After the dramatic draw in the Champions League against Newcastle, Paris Saint-Germain returned to action in the away game against Le Havre, donning a special jersey adorned with South Korean ideograms. The classic names of the players - exclusively for this occasion - were translated into Korean. The initiative aims to strengthen the bond between the country and the club, which emerged this summer following the signing of the 2001-born player Kang-In Lee, acquired for a sum of €22 million from Mallorca. According to SPORTbible, the young player has brought fortune to the Parisians, not so much for his on-field performances (having scored two goals in ten appearances) but for the club's coffers. Surprisingly, at the top of the list of the best-selling shirts is not the number 7 of Mbappé, but the number 19 of Kang-In Lee.
Therefore, the stylistic choice of Paris Saint-Germain is a true tribute to South Korea aimed at strengthening the present and future bond between the two parties. For the occasion, PSG has also added a note on its website: «Since the arrival of Kang-In Lee, Paris Saint-Germain continues to see an increase in the interest of South Korean fans. There has been a 20% increase in South Korean fans at the Parc des Princes; there has been a growth of 22,000 followers on X, placing the club third among the most followed football clubs in South Korea. The growing popularity of Paris Saint-Germain in Korea is also reflected in the commercial success of the store opened last July in Seoul. In terms of e-commerce, the country is now the second market for the club.»
