Verona's fourth jersey for the Bentegodi's birthday
The #Bente60di kit will only be worn for Sunday's game against Lazio
December 4th, 2023
For the upcoming match against Lazio, Hellas Verona FC will be wearing a special Joma jersey dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Marcantonio Bentegodi and StudioFantastico. It is dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Marcantonio Bentegodi. The stadium, which has hosted so many Gialloblu matches, is thus honoured with a jersey that will only be worn on 9 December, the league match closest to 15 December, the day the Verona facility was inaugurated. A new club logo was also designed for the occasion. It consists of the Great Danes, which already feature on the club's crest, surrounded by an ellipse showing the stadium from above, with the words "THE BENTE60DI" and the dates "1963-2023".
The #Bente60di jersey is in colours ranging from black to dark grey and includes details never seen before in the history of Gialloblù jerseys, all dedicated to the stadium whose anniversary it celebrates. The entire jersey is covered with a pattern depicting the characteristic elements of the stadium: from the terrace to the seats, from the roof to the stairs of the third ring. The collar and cuffs, on the other hand, are yellowand blue and are reminiscent of the colourful "blocks" painted by the fans that separate the lower and upper Curva Sud, the west seats and the upper west stand. The sponsors are also the protagonists, shown for the first time tone-on-tone in glossy black to create an elegant effect that is fully integrated into the jersey design.
Only 787 numbered copies of the special jersey, which is available in both a short-sleeved and a long-sleeved version, were produced. This corresponds to the number of players who have worn the gialloblu jersey in official Bentegodi competitions between 1963 and today. The jerseys worn during the Hellas Verona-Lazio match will later be auctioned off, with the proceeds going to charity to support ABEO Verona projects.
