LC23 and IUTER reinterpret the 1980s uniforms of AC Milan
A collection entirely Made in Italy
December 5th, 2023
LC23 and IUTER, born in 2010 and 2002 respectively, are two brands that respect each other, despite being characterized by styles that are not very similar to each other. For this collaboration, they decided to focus on Taz, a character from Looney Tunes also known as the "Tasmanian Devil," to playfully evoke the old wool jerseys from the early '80s of AC Milan. That's why both parties decided to opt for a sweater, perfect to pair with lifestyle looks. At that time, the logo featured a stylized devil, while the yellow star began to appear on the game jerseys: these details are also revisited, drawing inspiration from the identity of LC23 and IUTER.
In the version created for the collaboration, the vertical stripes of the sweater are irregular, and the logo features Taz's face instead of the devil. The technical sponsor is LC23, while the commercial sponsor is IUTER. On the back of the shirt, there is an embroidered number 23, another detail reminiscent of the aesthetics of iconic '80s jerseys. To complete the pack, there is an intimate boxer, a strategy used by LC23 and IUTER to playfully comment on the traditional version of race shorts that were much shorter in the '80s compared to contemporary ones. Finally, the sock pack recalls the colors of AC Milan with additional logos. The collection is entirely Made in Italy: after all, we couldn't expect anything less from LC23 and IUTER.
