Nivelcrack's new collection is a journey into Asian culture
Between Thai clothing and the arrival of the Year of the Dragon
January 31st, 2024
Nivelcrack, the creative studio based in Seoul specializing in football apparel, celebrates the spread of football culture in Asia by collaborating with Shukyu Magazine and AC Saen Saep, a club that plays its matches along the banks of the eponymous canal flowing through the heart of Bangkok. The event, coinciding with the launch of the jersey, marks the beginning of the Year of the Dragon, a highly anticipated and unique occasion to release a jersey full of references to the tradition of Thailand. It's not at all coincidental that it's embellished with yellow accents on an all-over purple base and features a pattern reminiscent of the scales of a Chinese dragon's body. Both shades tell an important piece of Thailand's history, as the clothing of aristocrats and common citizens is made in yellow and purple, differing only in the materials used: silk for the upper class and cotton for common citizens.
Simultaneously with the success achieved nationally, Nivelcrack continues its international expansion, securing a new collaboration following the one with Venezia. The collection will be exclusively released by Ladderice, a store based in Bangkok. For the collection's release, coinciding with the most important phases of the Asian Cup, Nivelcrack, Shukyu Magazine, and AC Saen Saep have chosen to organize an event called Dirt-Roots Football Collective on February 3 and 4 at the Ladderice store.
