Nicolò Zaniolo is the new testimonial for adidas Predator 24

Nicolò Zaniolo is undoubtedly one of the most talked about and clear talents in Italian football, currently playing for Aston Villa, who are fourth in the Premier League, and a key player for Luciano Spalletti's Italy in preparation for the highly anticipated Euro2024. His instinctive and explosive style of play has made him the perfect athlete for adidas, a brand of which he has become an ambassador, showcasing a new colorway of the Predator 24: Energy Citrus. We caught up with Zaniolo in London to talk about his career in the Premier League, expectations in the national team jersey, and of course, his new partnership with the Three Stripes.

How is your adventure in the UK going so far?

It's been a stimulating experience. This adventure is helping me grow and mature. Football is changing and I believe that for an athlete, gaining experience abroad has become essential. I am focused on this final stretch of the season, the national team training camp did me good, it's time to give my all, and in June the European Championship begins, I want to be there!

How does it feel to play in the most prestigious and followed league in the world?

As I mentioned before, football has changed and today the Premier League represents the dream for every player, the level is extremely high. When I was presented with the opportunity, I seized it. The intensity, both in games and in training, is high and it pushes me to give 110%. And what an atmosphere in the stadiums!

adidas has accompanied some of the greatest champions in the history of football, how does it feel to now be a part of this roster?

It's a great honor and a responsibility to be a part of this roster! We're talking about an iconic brand, just take a look at the recently launched campaigns to promote the new Predators... Beckham, Zidane. This excites me, motivates me, and makes me proud. I am truly happy to be associated with a brand that has made history.

adidas will also be accompanying the Azzurri at EURO 2024, what are your dreams and expectations for this tournament?

Playing for the defending champions is a huge achievement for an athlete, it's a unique and rare responsibility. Guys, wearing the blue jersey is indescribable for someone like me who grew up on bread and soccer. We will definitely go there to make our mark because we are a strong team! We are Italy!

For the most important game of your career, which Adidas shoe model would you wear?

The Predators, as I mentioned before, have always been my favorites: beautiful, comfortable, and they have always maintained their identity and aggressive style. It's no coincidence that they have been chosen by world-class players who have made their mark in football history.

When you think of Predator, which memory or player from history comes to mind?

I think of David Beckham and especially his plays. I remember his historic free-kick goal against Greece at Old Trafford, which secured England's place in the 2002 World Cup. White Predators, just like England's jersey, symbolizing his style, the ball hitting the top corner from 25-30 meters, and his fierce celebration with arms and legs spread out under the stands. These are unforgettable memories for a football enthusiast!

What is one style element or accessory that you never go without when stepping onto the field?

The tape that I use to support my socks, it's a ritual.

What is your relationship with fashion?

I care about style, I like to dress sporty even in my free time, that's why I chose adidas. adidas clothing embraces sports, music, and streetwear. The brand's attitude allows you to be 'fashionable' in any situation.
