The Madrid stage of the Kappa Cup was a success.
Football, fashion, communities and entertainment in the Spanish capital
May 6th, 2024
On Saturday, the Kappa Cup landed in Spain, in Madrid, for the first international edition of the tournament organized by Kappa to celebrate the culture of five-a-side football, made up of sport, friendship, sharing and lifestyle. And the Spanish capital responded enthusiastically, filling the Canal de Isabel II pitch with jerseys featuring the Omini logo, both those made for the three teams on the field by the creative collective Equipo FC and other jerseys signed by Kappa for the many sponsored teams around the world. But most importantly, there was no shortage of football played, with the three selections of Lenders Magazine, Retro Football Gang and Deportivo de La Coruña competing in the fierce triangular tournament that unfortunately only had one winner. In the end, it was the Lenders Magazine team that secured the trophy, thanks to a 4-2 victory over the Deportivo de La Coruña representative after defeating Retro Football Gang 5-2. But in addition to the sporting result, the Kappa Cup party involved everyone, even during the third half where the teams met fans and enthusiasts while reminiscing about the many goal-scoring opportunities over drinks and snacks. After the success of the first foreign stop, the Kappa Cup will return to Italy on May 17th in Genoa, when the selections of Genoa CFC, Pioggia Rossa Dischi and nss sports will face each other at the Giardini Luzzati for another unmissable event.
