J'Adore Napoli pays tribute to the 40th anniversary of Maradona in Naples
The colors of the t-shirt are not random

When Diego Armando Maradona first set foot on the turf of the Stadio San Paolo in Naples on July 5, 1984, in front of the eyes of 80,000 spectators, the shirt he was wearing rightly took a backseat. One of the most talented players - and later one of the most divisive and iconic figures ever - had arrived in Naples, and fans only cared about having a messianic figure to believe in. Over the years, photographs of Diego Armando Maradona's first day have been scrutinized, and only the most attentive eyes noticed the t-shirt he wore on that special occasion. A simple short-sleeved shirt with the multicolored PUMA logo, it became historic in its own right for being worn at a foundational moment in Maradona's long and important journey in Naples.
To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Diego Armando Maradona's arrival in Naples, nss has created a new chapter of J'Adore Napoli specifically for this occasion, featuring a collection that recalls the colors of the shirt worn by Diego Armando Maradona that day. The editorial was shot in one of the city's most significant locations, the mural at Largo Maradona: two boys look out from the window positioned on Diego's face, which remains closed, and could only open for such an important occasion.
