Como has chosen adidas for its return to Serie A
Another ambitious choice for a newly promoted team that is different from the others
July 8th, 2024
The Como has returned to Serie A after over two decades and has decided to do things big for the upcoming season. The club's ownership, held by the Hartono brothers, wasted no time and announced today a new partnership with adidas as the technical sponsor for the 2024/25 season, a great comeback for the Three Stripes after the decade 1982 - 1991. An ambitious agreement that confirms the path taken by Como towards international success, becoming the third team in Serie A to wear the three stripes on their chest after Juventus and Roma.
An ambitious company for a club that wants to enter the top league as a protagonist, through a historic brand that represents both the history of Como and football. After all, the charm of the lake and historic villas is an important potential to be exploited in terms of branding to create a new Venice model in Italian football, with long-term planning and a rapidly growing club. We are now curious to see how this new partnership will evolve, announced with a ride in an Apecar on the shores of the lake: in the 1980s, adidas used some of the most iconic designs of the German brand for Como, including the iconic one worn at Euro1988 by the Dutch, German, and Soviet national teams.
