And if football clubs made Padel kits?
AS Roma is only the first in Serie A, but it won't be the last

The padel has quickly become the favorite sport among athletes, alongside golf, with many football players regularly participating in tournaments around the world and filming themselves while training with their friends. And this association between football and padel now also appears in the lifestyle lines of clubs, such as the one launched in the last few hours by AS Roma and adidas. A collection that will certainly be appreciated by all the Giallorossi fans who want to bring their colors and emblems into their weekly game with friends. It includes a playing kit composed of a short-sleeved shirt and shorts, in white with orange details and the Gratton's Wolf logo, also seen on last season's third jersey. But above all, a padel racket with the club's social colors symmetrically divided in the center, vaguely reminiscent of the design of the iconic Kappa European jersey for the 2001/02 season, and with the wolf of Gratton printed in black on top.
If tennis is now the most attractive sport of the moment, with brands and sponsors trying in every way to get in touch with it to elevate their positioning, padel could become a reference for football teams to expand their collections and target audiences. Football players are not the only ones who play it in their free time, there are more and more people frequenting the courts with plexiglass walls that in many cases have replaced the futsal fields. And a dedicated line could be a winning choice, given that the countries where padel is most played, Spain and Italy, are also those where football is by far the most loved and followed sport. For now, only Roma has launched a padel collection in Serie A, but it's not certain that they will be the only ones. On the contrary.
