The Genoa limited edition jersey with the Ceres logo
A unique bond between the beer brand and the city
November 4th, 2024
In the stands of Genoa's Ferraris Stadium, Ceres has always been a constant presence: the Rossoblù fans have unofficially chosen it as the team's beer, displaying the brand's logo on banners and flags. This season, the partnership has even made its way onto the field. On the occasion of Venezia-Genoa, Ceres celebrated its collaboration with Genoa CFC by launching a limited edition jersey featuring the brand's logo. In addition to the official team jerseys, the historic Rossoblù and the white Away kit, the distinctive touch of the Ceres logo with the characteristic "C’è" is added. For the launch, Ceres focused on the true protagonists of this collaboration: the fans. In August, Genoa supporters at the "Little Club," the first supporters' association in Italy, had the opportunity to see previews of the models with the Ceres logo and wear them for photos in the streets and most iconic places of the Marassi neighborhood, the beating heart of Genoese support.
For Genova, Ceres is not a brand like others: it perfectly blends with the club and the stadium culture that exists in Italy and around the world. The bond between the two parties is unusual since Ceres is a brand that originated in Denmark, but it was a Genoese who brought it to Italy. Moreover, Ceres is linked to the incredible designs crafted by Enrico Machiavello, the famous Genoese illustrator. Finally, an interesting fact about Ceres is that it cannot be served inside stadiums: as a strong ale (7.7% ABV), it exceeds the limit of 5. However, the Liguria Region and the Municipality of Genoa had to create an exemption to raise the alcohol limit to avoid discontent among Ligurians. In short, Ceres truly is the best "alcoholic story" you can find in a football stadium.
