The new Juventus anthem jacket is already iconic

The new NASA-inspired Juventus jacket, designed by adidas, is ready to debut in one of the most symbolic matches of the year for the Bianconeri: the Derby della Mole against Torino, scheduled for Saturday, November 9, at 9:00 PM at Allianz Stadium. This bomber jacket is inspired by the iconic MA-1 silhouette, an extremely functional garment created after World War II for American military pilots, which is why it’s also known as a flight jacket. With the arrival of colder weather, football teams have temporarily paused the release of new jerseys to make room for the so-called anthem jackets, the outerwear pieces players wear in the moments leading up to kick-off, designed exclusively to keep them warm. Brands, like adidas in this case, have indeed observed that the creativity used in making game jerseys can also be applied to this type of garment. However, the production process for anthem jackets generally requires less time.

Since September, with the start of the Champions League—a major stage that captures the attention of a broad international audience—many anthem jackets have been released. Anthem jackets almost blend in with pre-match jerseys, used exclusively for warm-ups. In fact, among pre-match jerseys, anthem jackets, and formal wear, players wear several types of uniforms during the cold season, especially for away games. For this new collection, Juventus has chosen to revisit the moon theme, already used for the 2024/25 season Home kit.
