The Italian Serie B will be broadcast on Prime Video
With the LaB Channel, it will be possible to watch it without subscribing to DAZN
December 3rd, 2024
The sixteenth round of the Italian Serie B has arrived, accompanied by an important news for fans of the second division. Serie B launches LaB Channel on Prime Video, an exclusive channel that will broadcast all Serie B matches. This agreement between Lega Serie B and Amazon represents another step forward in Prime Video's ambition to offer increasingly premium entertainment content, expanding coverage of some of the most beloved live sports events. So, what will the cost be to watch Serie B matches on Prime Video? The viewing will not be free for all Amazon Prime subscribers, as the subscription costs €49.90 annually or €4.99 monthly. A specific subscription to the LaB Channel will be required: currently, the offer includes three months for €9.99, after which it will be €9.99 per month.
This is a very important development, primarily because until now in Italy, Serie B could only be watched on DAZN by paying €14.90 for the standard version and €24.90 for the premium version. Up to now, DAZN also offered one Serie B match per week for free on its platform, an offer unfortunately incomparable to Amazon Video’s. Who knows, this initiative might bring a younger audience closer to Italy’s second football division, full of surprises and plot twists, but especially with many more seasonal matches than Serie A, considering play-offs and play-outs.
