Louis Vuitton has also released its football boots
Black leather upper, lace-covering tongue, and outsole footprint

A lace cover tongue reminiscent of vintage Reebok and adidas Predator designs, embroidered with the LV+VERS UNITED crest, the Maison’s logo stitched on the side in the usual brand logo placement, and a fully black leather upper evoking an iconic model like Umbro’s Tocco: these are the elements Louis Vuitton has chosen for its first football boot. The boot is further enriched by a special "footprint" sole, arguably the most intriguing innovation of all, which we already know will appear on other models designed by Pharrell Williams.
The black version was the only one showcased on the runway during the June fashion week, but the sneakers will also be available in four additional colorways: red, white, blue, and a deep green. The penultimate Louis Vuitton runway show during the Paris Fashion Week had already shone a spotlight on football, particularly through accessories. A full suit and a football-shaped bag had given us a glimpse of hope to see LV on the pitch, but ultimately, it was the football-inspired sneakers that made their debut, riding the wave of the growing popularity of football boots, with iconic silhouettes like the Total 90 III gearing up for a return to the market in 2025, directly from Nike's archives.
But it was only a matter of time before Louis Vuitton decisively leaned into football at this moment. The bond between the Maison and sport, particularly football, was strengthened largely thanks to the efforts of Virgil Abloh, who paved—and then expanded—a path for luxury and sport to intersect. From Louis Vuitton's collaboration with the NBA to create the first men's capsule collection, to crafting a custom trunk for the Larry O’Brien trophy, and even personalizing the parquet flooring and light design of Madison Square Garden. With a World Cup on the horizon, primarily taking place in the United States, it's hard not to think that luxury Maisons like Louis Vuitton are revving their engines, starting to release football-inspired collections that, at last, are venturing into footwear.
