Waiting for 2025, the golden year of football boots

Experimentation, research, a dash of madness, but also vision. These are the terms that summarize the dialogue between nss sports and Vibram, which led to the creation of Every Sole Counts, a project designed to elevate the concept of football and lifestyle in anticipation of 2025. A year that promises to be a turning point at the intersection of football and fashion, marking the beginning of a new chapter in this relationship destined to continue influencing contemporary culture. When we knocked on Vibram’s door to propose this project, we knew we had chosen the ideal partner: an ally capable of tackling a crucial year head-on, meeting our requests without sacrificing their creativity. The result? A project that stands out for its perfect balance between innovation, versatility, and originality, merging concept football-inspired sneakers with ready-to-use models.
With the support of Nike and adidas, we selected four pairs of football boots, combining them with an independent search for pre-owned models from other brands, such as Mizuno, to give them a second life. While the selected adidas boots are new and recently released, the Nike CTR Maestri III we customized was instead a discard from the Swoosh: a model that debuted in 2014 and now, ten years after its market release, finds a new soul. All of this was done with a single goal: to transform the quintessential football item into a versatile sneaker.
Among the creations, there was also a more conceptual model, developed from the adidas Predator Accuracy.1. Its vibrant neon color, combined with the black, white, and gray of the upper, was paired with two experimental outsoles. One of these outsoles was created by temporarily embedding several mini golf balls during the production process. The result? A design that is not only unique but also surprisingly effective in terms of cushioning.
