We listened to a preview of Moise Kean's new album
It is called “Chosen” and marks the Fiorentina striker's debut in the rap
December 16th, 2024
At midnight today, Moise Kean released his first album, titled Chosen. We had the opportunity to preview it in Milan, during an evening that the Fiorentina and Italian National Team striker will hardly forget. On stage, Moise Kean performed the full versions of each track from his album, accompanied by all the artists featured in the record: Stunna, Elena Manuele, and Sey_blessed. Chosen includes 11 tracks, opening with the intro I Was Born a Winner. All the songs carry the mark of KMB, Moise Kean's stage name, who from the very first verses defines himself as the Chosen, meaning "the chosen one." At the release party, several teammates and former teammates, along with close friends, were present. Among them were Cristiano Biraghi, Riccardo Sottil, Robin Gosens, Weston McKennie, and Iling Jr., who celebrated the release of Chosen with Moise. Notable by his absence was Rafa Leão, but there's high hope that a collaboration between the two could happen in the future.

Chosen is already available on streaming platforms, and if you’re curious to discover what the second rap album by an active Serie A player sounds like, all you have to do is press play. Among the highlights, we can reveal that some tracks are full of surprises: for instance, Celebrate, which Moise Kean has described as the anthem of the album, a celebration of life with his friends, featuring a sample from Back On 74 by the English electronic group Jungle.
More and more footballers are embracing rap as their musical style: first Rafa Leao, with his stage name WAY45, and now Moise Kean. This passion for rap is even more prominent outside of Italy: today, in the Premier League, the duo of Cole Palmer and Central Cee is widely regarded as the best duo. Last May, Edon Zhegrova of Lille celebrated a goal by wearing the mask of English rapper M Huncho, the same mask the London artist uses during live performances and on nearly all his album covers. But even before M Huncho, artists like Stormzy, Dave, and many others had already bridged the gap between two worlds that are increasingly connected. Chosen is out now, and you might want to give it a listen.
