Cinelli, the iconic Milanese brand that redefines the limits of performance on two wheels, and Oakley, a leader in the world of sports innovation for 50 years, join forces and with their first collaboration transform cycling into a journey of self-discovery. For Cinelli and Oakley, cycling becomes a utopia, a unified relationship with nature and one's own body, a tribute to creativity and the pleasure of riding beyond competition. The collection comes to life through Taylor Phinney, former professional cyclist, who has transformed his relationship with the bike from a pure performance-driven interaction to a deeper connection with nature and exploration. "The bicycle is just a toy. A toy for children and adults. The more we ride, the more we grow and feel comfortable in the pursuit of flow," says Taylor Phinney. "The trails we carve on the earth become a part of us and we surpass the mere obsession with weight and power. We become one with our bicycles and, through them, we advance towards a protopia."
The Cinelli x Oakley Latch Panel and Eye Jacket Redux models feature an exclusive "Race Worn" design that reflects the dedication, passion, and effort of cycling. It is a lived-in effect achieved through a special manufacturing process that reproduces the typical signs of wear on the frame, making each piece unique and unrepeatable just like every bike ride. Designed for every type of adventure, they are equipped with a full-rim mask lens and the characteristic Latch hinge, as well as removable side shields that reduce distractions from glare. Additionally, both models come with a microbag and a special case. Completing the collection is a Raceworn Nemo Gravel Bike, handmade at Cinelli's headquarters in Milan with the same off-grid philosophy as Oakley. A one-of-a-kind piece, not for sale.
