PUMA has signed an official agreement with the Premier League, the most watched football league in the world, further expanding its partnerships with the top leagues in Europe after Serie A and Bundesliga, and replacing Nike after 25 years. This historic collaboration will see PUMA become the Official Ball Supplier of the Premier League, providing match balls for all league games starting from the 2025/26 season. Through this partnership, PUMA will also support the Premier League in various initiatives, from community football programs aimed at developing young talents to high-impact marketing campaigns and events such as the Premier League Summer Series, which will take place in the United States in July.
"The agreement with the Premier League, the most watched football league in the world, represents an important step in PUMA's brand elevation strategy," said PUMA CEO Arne Freundt. "We are excited to bring our performance technology to the forefront of the game and connect with the many fans around the world. With the PUMA ball at the center of attention in every match of this incredible league, we will create unforgettable moments for players and fans." PUMA already has a significant presence in the Premier League thanks to its official partnership with Manchester City, the current champion of the tournament, as well as various players including Jack Grealish, Kai Havertz, James Maddison, Harry Maguire, Jordan Pickford, and Marc Cucurella.
A strong positioning choice by PUMA, which aims to establish itself as a third contender at the level of adidas and Nike in the world of football. Richard Masters, Chief Executive of the Premier League, added: "We are delighted to welcome PUMA as the Official Ball Supplier of the Premier League. PUMA has a long tradition in the world of football and we look forward to seeing the new ball in action in all our matches starting this summer. Their global reach and commitment to excellence are in line with our values, and we are excited to collaborate on a series of projects to further the incredible work being done in communities and inspire fans around the world."
