Paris Saint-Germain could have a new stadium Are you ready to say farewell to the Parc des Princes?

An incredible season, a sense of renewal (also) thanks to the work of Luis Enrique. The Paris Saint-Germain, even with Neymar Jr., Lionel Messi, and Ángel Di María, had never been so good. A Ligue 1 dominated from start to finish, sealed by mid-March with a crushing +19 lead over Olympique Marseille. A Parc des Princes packed with fans; and this, perhaps, is the only weak point of the Parisians. According to Le Parisien, the Al Khelaifi-owned club is reportedly considering building a new stadium to host their home games, one that better reflects what Paris Saint-Germain stands for today, both on and off the field. On the field, a well-prepared team that, with the support of the club, has managed a generational change excellently; off the field, maintaining an immaculate aesthetic, thanks to their partnership with Jordan as a technical sponsor and Dior as a fashion partner, two essential elements of PSG today in the global football imagination.

But there is a looming threat in the form of Paris FC. The club, 52% owned by Bernard Arnault, with 10.6% held by Red Bull, the owner of the luxury conglomerate LVMH, is emerging on the French football scene. Paris FC currently occupies third place in Ligue 2; the battle with Lorient and Metz for the top spot is fierce (they are separated by just 3 points), so the chances of them being promoted to Ligue 1 next season are very high. At the same time, the mission to reach the top French league would be delayed to the following season, and significant investments in the market cannot be ruled out, which would greatly aid the club’s progress. Paris Saint-Germain is constantly evolving, an evolution that aims to consolidate the dominance they have shown in every possible way over the past decade.

Where could the new Paris Saint-Germain stadium be built?

After the city of Paris refused to hand over the Parc des Princes to PSG, the capital's club is considering building a new stadium in Aulnay-sous-Bois. For several years, the city of Paris and Paris Saint-Germain have struggled to reach an agreement over the Parc des Princes, a structure linked to the club's history, but also outdated and with a modest capacity—only 48,000 seats. This has forced the capital club to explore new options. This Tuesday, Le Parisien revealed the possible construction of a new stadium in Aulnay-sous-Bois, a French commune of 83,000 inhabitants located in the Seine-Saint-Denis department in the Île-de-France region.

An illustration of the potential future PSG stadium, shared by Le Parisien, shows a massive structure with a contemporary design reminiscent of a spaceship, surrounded by green spaces. If the project goes ahead, the stadium would offer a unique experience with amphitheater-shaped stands and modern lines. The Aulnay-sous-Bois project will not be the only one; several cities in the Île-de-France region are ready to host the Parisian club’s stadium. Becoming the home of one of the most important clubs in the world would be crucial for attracting tourists, as well as establishing an important cultural hub for sports.
