adidas and Ronnie Fieg are getting us ready for the 2026 World Cup
Yes, more than a year out from the most anticipated event of the decade
April 14th, 2025
A Tango ball featuring custom artwork, a special challenge at Grand Central Station in New York, and no less than two versions of the Predator Mania: one with a lifestyle twist (Predator Megaride), the other designed for performance. Since last week, adidas and Kith have started unveiling the products from their football-inspired collaboration, revealing the different chapters step by step. Needless to say, the most anticipated — and most hyped — release is the performance boot: a total white version with just two color accents, red and blue, and a unique detail — a completely reworked lace-covering tongue, embossed with an all-over Kith logo. Even before revealing the performance cleat, Ronnie Fieg also introduced a lifestyle version of the Predator Mania in red — a colorway the Three Stripes brand has been using frequently as of late.
The collaboration between the two brands also includes a more interactive chapter: adidas and Kith set up a mini pitch at Grand Central Station in New York, where participants can take a penalty kick using one of the Tango match balls, customized with the logos of both brands, for a chance to score against a goalkeeper and win a special item from the collaboration. It's no coincidence that this activation was conceived specifically in New York: first and foremost because it’s the home of Kith and Ronnie Fieg, but also because the United States, ahead of the 2026 World Cup, are preparing to experience a moment of true brilliance.
In all likelihood, the coming months will see an unprecedented wave of activations and collaborations — and it could only be Ronnie Fieg to kick things off: an icon, entrepreneur, and streetwear pioneer in the Big Apple, who already boasts collaborations with some of the biggest names in sports. From his role as creative director for the New York Knicks, to the 2024 golf partnership with TaylorMade, to projects with New Era and the New York Yankees. If the morning shows the day, we can only be optimistic: the 2026 World Cup is set to be spectacular in every way.
