Nike and Hyperice have released Hyperboot, an innovative shoe designed to help athletes perform at their best during warm-up, now available at a retail price of $899. The futuristic shoe functions as a dynamic compression massage tool; it’s designed to move with the athlete, supporting both warm-up and recovery phases. “Athlete needs are at the center of everything we do, and while we’ve long known how important recovery is in an athlete’s journey, we’re hearing more and more feedback about the concept of pre-covery, which is considered equally essential,” said Tobie Hatfield, Senior Director of Nike Athlete Innovation. “Hyperboot helps prepare the body for activity, whether you're competing for a title or spending long hours on your feet at work.”

Since its unveiling last summer, Nike and Hyperice – the company that develops health, wellness, and recovery technologies – have continued collecting feedback from athletes who have integrated this innovation into their training and recovery routines, from daily workouts to crucial competition moments. Professional and amateur athletes alike have reported that using Hyperboot has taken their warm-up and recovery routines to a new level, both physically and mentally. “I was lucky to be one of the first athletes to test Hyperboot, and I can honestly say I was immediately impressed,” said Sha’Carri Richardson, Nike and Hyperice athlete. “I felt the difference right away, especially in my training. With Hyperboot on, I can begin warming up and recovering while staying mobile. This is a huge advantage when traveling or constantly on the go. As a sprinter, every millisecond counts, so having my feet and ankles already activated really helps me get ready to perform at my best.”

Hyperboot features a dual-air bladder system that delivers gradual compression sequences, combined with high-efficiency thermal heating elements that evenly distribute heat across the shoe’s upper. The combination – enabled by Hyperice’s Normatec line and HyperHeat technology – is designed to drive heat deep into the muscles and tissue in the feet and ankles, promoting movement, performance, and recovery. Athletes who’ve tested it have reported feeling lighter and more mobile in their feet and ankles – as if their warm-up were already complete before starting their usual routine. “Hyperboot represents everything I look for in my preparation: cutting-edge technology that delivers real results,” says Jayden Daniels, Nike and Hyperice athlete. “I’m very precise about integrating innovation into my training, and the way this device combines heat and compression has transformed my warm-up.”

Athletes can easily synchronize the shoes by simply pressing a button, thanks to a battery built into each shoe’s insole, and choose between three compression levels and three heat levels. They can also connect to the Hyperice mobile app for further personalization. “Since the beginning of Hyperice, we’ve drawn a lot of inspiration from Nike – from the care and innovation we put into our products to how we engage with athletes.”

The Nike x Hyperice Hyperboot will be available in North America on the Nike website and the Hyperice website, as well as from select Nike and Hyperice retailers starting May 17. The release will expand to global markets later this year.
