In the Premier League, the corner flag banners have become additional elements to personalize for the most market-oriented European championship for several seasons now, following a tradition that dates back to the 19th century and has never given a true aesthetic directive to this element on the field. So already two seasons ago, Manchester City had modified the four corner flag banners at the Etihad Stadium for the match that then determined the title against Arsenal, through an initiative of their partner Socios. Fans in possession of the $CITY Fan Token were able to select the four winning designs, choosing key figures of the club's players and an iconic moment of the goal. In the end, four authentic City icons were selected, Colin Bell, Vincent Kompany, Kevin de Bruyne and of course Sergio Aguero.
The same operation will now be repeated by Socios with another Premier League club, Tottenham Hotspurs, which however is not currently in the same position in the standings as City was a couple of years ago. In fact, we can say that Spurs are currently in one of the worst periods of their recent history, despite reaching the Europa League semi-finals, with a sixteenth place in the league. However, Tottenham remains one of the most active and performing clubs when it comes to exploiting their brand, and the collaboration with Socios reminds us that on-field performances must be separated from off-field ones. The four designs that can be voted on obviously feature the newly updated logo of the North London club and the year of its founding, 1882, as well as anthems and mottos that are often heard from the stands of the Stadium.
