1992 is a crucial year for sport. The USA basketball Dream Team changes forever the perception of sports omnipotence in the Olympic Games of Barcellona. The UEFA Champions League changes name and format, becoming the greatest continental football showcase. In the summer, at the football Euro Cup, it happens one of the greatest upsets in the history of the game: Denmark wins the competition with a wild card. But also the world changes: USSR officially becomes Russian Federation, while to Maastricht Treaty is signed, enacting the born of the European Union. In Paris opens Euro Disney,in Beijing the first Chinese McDonalds. Meanwhile, England is ready for the starts of a football dynasty.

"After a long 26 year wait without a league title, arguably the World's biggest club Manchester United were crowned the inaugural FA Premier League title in the 1992-93 season. Made by Umbro, this classic lace neck design was worn by United legends like Mark Hughes, Bryan Robson, Ryan Giggs and Kanchelskis to name a few. However, Sir Alex Ferguson's men were inspired by the arrival of a certain French talisman, Eric Cantona when he joined the red devils in November 1992 from arch rivals Leeds United making an immediate impact. This was followed up the season after with another Premier League title and FA Cup double in 1993-94. This shirt epitomizes the change of fortunes at Old Trafford and will be fondly remembered as a true classic in terms of style and great memories".
