FC Bayern Munich nostalgia collection
The Bavarians presented a capsule inspired by the jersey of 1928
November 14th, 2019
For the fans of Bayern Monaco, the myth of the club and the colors red and white are something essential, so much to push the supporters in last season to a protest against the use of the Blue Navy, the color of the Bavarian flag but also the rivals of the Monaco 1860.
In the days when the club pays homage to its president Uli Hoeneß with a documentary, the Bavarians also present a retro collection, inspired by the kit and the crest of 1928. The shirt is entirely in white and red vertical stripes, with bold cuffs in the long sleeve and laces at the neckline. The only detail added to the jersey is the crest, inspired by the two on the shirts of Bayern Munich between 1961 and 1970. The circular logo includes the word "Bayern" and a semicircle with the blue and white diamonds typical of the Bavarian flag.
The same logo also appears on a hat, available in the online store of the German champion. It's not certain if Serge Gnabry, Philippe Coutinho, Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Müller will wear the retro jersey in official competitions, meanwhile, wearing it for the campaign images was Javi Martinez.
