Bologna's Macron jersey for the 2022/23 season
Dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Mitropa Cup victory features a monogram pattern
July 5th, 2022
Bologna F.C. today unveiled the jerseys with which they will take the field during the upcoming Serie A season. The Felsinei, as always, have relied on the in-house company Macron, which has its factory just a few kilometers from the Emilia capital, for a kit dedicated to the 90th anniversary of winning the Central European Cup or better known as the Mitropa Cup, the oldest European club competition in history.
The collar is V-necked and the backneck has the team colors and the words "THE TEAM THAT THREATS THE WORLD DOES." The jersey's defining touch, however, is the all-over graphics on both the front and sleeves, which call out a monogram using the acronym BFC, echoed in the club's logo, printed in relief. On the chest, in silicon print, is the Macron logo on the right and the Bologna Fc 1909 logo on the left. The Away jersey, on the other hand, offers a white colorway with a V-neck with red-blue edges, a color combination also present on the sleeve edges, and the logoed monogram seen above. A trend that is increasingly present in game jerseys and that ideally brings the world of football closer to the world of fashion.
The new two 2022-2023 kits have a body fit, the main fabric used is Eco-Fabric, specifically EcoSirenaLight, and the presence of the Eco micromesh panel on the back makes the garments lighter and more breathable. They also continue the club and technical sponsor's shared commitment to the environment and sustainability with the use of Eco-Fabric, sourced from recycled plastic.
