This year, Liverpool celebrates its 125th anniversary. The Reds, in collaboration with New Balance, revealed their new away kit for the 2017/18 season that celebrates properly this important milestone.
The historic pattern with azure and white squares comes back with the shirt, after being in the history of the club in 1892. The new ‘bottle green’ coloration, that substitutes the azure, was previously used in the 1991/92 and 95/96 season. New Balance dare to experiment this historic pattern using an innovative stripes model for the aqua green squares. Two details will blow all the supporters’ minds: the writing under the logo for the 125 years of the club, and the 96 number surrounded by two flames in the back of the neck, to honor Hillsborough’s tragic events. The kit is completed by black shorts and green/white striped socks.
