Nike presented Poland shirt for the 2018 World Cup
Lewandowski and his teammates will present themselves as the seventh force in world football
March 21st, 2018
There are multiple reasons why Poland should look at the next World Cup with optimism. After a 12-year-long absence from the worldwide tournament, the white and red national team presents itself as the seventh force in the FIFA ranking - it was 78th in 2013 - with one of the best strikers in the world that just scored some record-breaking qualification goals and a group of possible champions behind him. That’s why Nike Football soared the eagle’s wings, the symbol of the national team and entire Poland, for Russia 2018 home and away kits.
The soared wings of the eagle are represented by the diagonal cut in the design of the two kits, white for the home and red for the away one. In the home shirt, there’s a grey shade that will cut in half the front part of the jersey, while the away one will have a darker red shade. The kits will have inverted colors for the logos, naming and numbering, that will be red on the home shirt and white on the away one. The eagle will also be on the back on the V-necklace, that will guarantee maximum breathability.
After broking from group stages for the first time in 20 years at the 2016 European Championship, Poland will present itself to this World Cup with the will to make a miracle, maybe reaching the first four teams in the world, as it did in 1974 and 1982. To do that it will use Nike Football kits, completed by Anthem Jacket, training and pre-match apparel, all available in the next days on nike.com.
