Five football matches to watch this weekend
There are not real top clashes, so we will pass between Turkey to the Italian third division
November 2nd, 2018
There is a long break for Day of the Dead and many of you have certainly taken advantage of it to travel/rest a little/go home and visit your parents/go to Club To Club. We do not, however, and remain faithful to our favorite sport, dedicate all the weekend to the most random games, as always. The fact that are not scheduled big matches does not discourage us at all: there's always something interesting to watch, you've just check. So also this time, trust of our advice, which provides free Sunday.
Galatasaray-Fenerbahce
when: Friday 2/11 at 7pm
where: Türk Telekom Arena / the best streaming channel you will find online
Let's start with a bang, because Friday night is scheduled one of the hottest games of the entire football planet. The location is the Türk Telekom Arena in Istanbul, in the West against the East, as well as the two most popular teams in town: Fatih Terim's Galatasaray and Fenerbahce who just fired Philip Cocu after a terrible start to the season. The Turkish is a total derby, unpredictable in the result but certainly rough, where we are sure that cards will flit easily. And we will be on the sofa to definitely enjoy the show, especially in the stands, postponing any invitation to go out for dinner.
Fiorentina-AS Roma
when: Saturday 3/11 at 6pm
where: Stadio Artemio Franchi / Sky Sport
Saturday afternoon is particularly clogged: option 1, the most common, plans to tune into Sky Sport and enjoy the second match of the 11th Serie A matchday. Fiorentina-AS Roma can be considered a big match, a game that promises goals and important play because on pitch the field there are many players that is always a pleasure to watch: one above all, the talent of Federico Chiesa. Will AS Roma make turnover? Will Fiorentina return to win at home? What bonuses will come from your fantasy football players? Gerson will score against the former team? Four good reasons to follow the match.
Panathinaikos-AEK Athens
when: Saturday 3/11 at 6pm
where: Spyros Louis Stadium / the best streaming channel you will find online
If you do not have any intentions to watch AS Roma against Fiorentina and want something more resonant, the Athenian derby between Panathinaikos and AEK Athens could be perfect for you: the technical level will certainly not be excelling, but the premise is a very inflamed clash, both for the huge rivalry between the two teams and for the electric situation that you breathe in Greek football. Guests are favorites, but in the hosts squad there's (hold on tight...) Federico Macheda!
Arsenal-Liverpool
when: Saturday 3/11 at 6:30pm
where: Emirates Stadium / Sky Sport
When we think about Arsenal-Liverpool it's impossibile to not remember the poker (yes, four goals) scored by Andrei Arshavin in 2009, but at Anfield. What does it mean? Well, that from that time on it's normal to expect everything. That Saturday will still be a game between two teams absolutely on fire: the hosts have won 12 of the last 13 games, the Reds are at the top of the league with Man. City and are still unbeaten. With these premises, we will follow it double carefully.
Pro Vercelli-Novara
when: Saturday 3/11 at 8:30pm
where: Stadio Silvio Piola / Eleven Sports
We are honest: between questions of repechage, various appeals, TAR and sports justice we are not understanding much. Waiting to know the evolution of the championships of Serie B and Lega Pro (and how many teams will be respectively composed), Saturday evening in Vercelli will be scheduled a very tough game in Piedmont: the derby of rice fields between Pro Vercelli and Novara. Until last season the two teams faced each other in second division, today in the third series, but the charm remains. Of course, we will never compare it to a River-Boca due to the hotness of the supporters, but we would try to identify with the mood of the East of Padania, between a plate of Panizza and a glass of red wine of Gattinara.
