Leeds United is one of England's historic clubs: a glorious past and a present that after years of hard work finally seems to put back the Peacocks in the English top tier. Regardless of the league, the passion of the supporters is never weakened, whether it was a matter of going to Old Trafford in Manchester or in deep grounds of England, the fans never left. Taking inspiration from the stands, the photographer Tana Kadlecova has taken the new Kappa Retro Collection for the English club in the symbolic places of the British tifo: pubs and the historic Elland Road stadium.
Kappa - who has become Leeds technical sponsor three season ago - has impressed on her aesthetics by celebrating the heritage of the English club in this collection that mixes streetwear and terrace culture.
The classic tracksuit is embellished by the iconic Kappa band while the t-shirts have a special diagonal wording in italics (LUFC, Leeds United Football Club) instead of the traditional crest. The colors used are blue and white, with some yellow details: the first is the historical color of the club, the second one was adopted later, inspired by Real Madrid. One of the clearest references is certainly the time reference: 1919 is the date of birth of the club, which hopes to celebrate its centenary at best with the promotion in the Premier League. But what Leeds has already conquered in a definitive way is a place in the hearts of football fans all over the world, who in the United have found a swinging team, sometimes unbeatable and sometimes faint: it's impossible to forget the team that in 2001 just touched the Champions League final scaring the European top clubs but above all the one that repeatedly approached to the Premier League title in the early 70s.
