The Milan derby, but also Balotelli against PSG and the FA Cup magic
March 15th, 2019
We begin to glimpse some spring moments, your girlfriend will have already organized a shops tour on Saturday afternoon and an away lunch on Sunday, but you have to hold on: there is the football weekend that awaits us and all the other stuffs are in the second place. If you really can't get away from your commitments, stay free Sunday evening when the Milan derby is there.
Leeds-Sheffield United
when: Saturday 16/3 at 1:30pm
where: Elland Road/DAZN
The Championship is a beautiful and almost infinite league and we entered the tough phase: nine games from the end there are three teams at the top of the standings and two of them will clash Saturday at lunch time in the first match of the gameday. We are talking about Leeds and the surprising Sheffield United that despite a much weaker squad is struggling with merit for the promotion in the top flight. For the Bielsa boys, a win would mean departing the rivals with four points, taking a decisive step towards the complicated final rush and avoiding the play-offs.
Wolves-Manchester United
when: Saturday 16/3 at 8:55pm
where: Molineux/DAZN
This weekend, four Premier League games will be postponed due to the FA Cup, which enters the hottest stage with the quarter-finals. Among these out the match between Wolverhampton and Man. United, once again called for a delicate challenge after having already met Arsenal and Chelsea. For Solskjaer it will not be an easy game, given that the Wolves this year have proved very strong against the big clubs, especially at home. And then, needless to say, in FA Cup we learned that everything is possible.
Valencia-Getafe
when: Sunday 17/3 at 6:30pm
where: Mestalla/DAZN
Few of you know that at the moment the fourth place in Liga is occupied by Getafe, a story unbelievable but true: the Madrid team is currently ahead against Alaves, Sevilla and Valencia and is keeping a top team route. But Valencia, with six points late, has the unique chance of winning the direct match and re-opening the race for the Champions League. A doubly vibrant challenge if we consider the outcome of the recent Copa del Rey challenge in which Valencia eliminated Getafe with a goal in the extra time.
AC Milan-Inter
when: Sunday 17/3 at 8:30pm
where: San Siro/Sky Sport
The Milan derby is one of those games that really don't need premises or explanations, in which both teams will have no trouble finding incentives to win and in which every fan of the two factions would be willing to do anything to prevail against rivals. The one scheduled for Sunday is very delicate, and the situation of the first leg seems to have turned upside down: Inter, which was definitely a strong team in October, is now living an absolutely difficult period, unlike the cousins who from January onwards seem to be reborn. But as always in these cases, making predictions is impossible.
PSG-Olympique Marseille
when: Sunday 17/3 at 9pm
where: Parco dei Principi/DAZN
Looking at the standings the two teams are divided by 27 points and the Parisians have also played one match less, but the challenge between PSG and OM remains Le Classique, the challenge between two absolutely opposite clubs that have marked the history of French football French. Balotelli against Buffon and Verratti, Tuchel against Rudi Garcia, Mbappé against Strootman: we will necessarily find the way to look at it even if at the same time there is the Milan derby.
