Kappa is the new kit supplier of Venezia FC
After seven seasons, the new Serie A club leaves Nike
June 9th, 2021
After following Venezia FC in its long and glorious rebirth, Nike gives way to Kappa as technical sponsor of the team that returned to Serie A after twenty years. A separation that had already been in the air for a few months, after some hidden signals in the team's strategies that date back to the month of March. Nike has contributed to making the orange-black-green aesthetic one of a kind thanks to jerseys that have always been able to tell the perfect bond between fans, city and team. Kappa collects an important legacy - as done in the case of Red Star FC replacing adidas after ten years - and relaunches itself in Serie A, where it has recently lost one of the leading teams such as Napoli. The Turin brand maintains four teams in the top flight: it loses Napoli and Benevento (relegated to Serie B), but Empoli and Venezia FC arrive to reinforce a team portfolio in which Fiorentina and Genoa already exist.
The agreement with the lagoon team will include four kits in the inaugural season of the partnership, with the design curated by Fly Nowhere of New York City in collaboration with the brand.Kappa becomes the 12th technical sponsor of Venezia FC after Giacomin Sport, Umbro, Diadora, Virma, Kronos, Kelme, Joma, Lotto, PUMA, HS Football and Nike. It will almost certainly change the fit of the jerseys, but it will also be a way to find out how Kappa will work with the incredible archive of jerseys of a historic team.
