Barcelona will have a new crest for next season

In the 2023/24 season, Barcelona will change its historic crest by adding a diamond to the shield, as a tribute to the successes of the Blaugrana's women's team. Indeed, the Barcelona Feminin played in the last two Champions League finals, winning one of them, and can count on the strongest player of its generation, Alexia Putellas. The Diamond has a very long history, dating back to the early 1970s when it was founded as Club Femení Barcelona. It later changed various names and affiliations until it was integrated into Club Blaugrana in 2002.

In 1971, the players gave themselves the name Peña Femenina Barcelonista (PFB) at a notary's office and also established their own crest: a fusion of the Futbol Club Barcelona crest and Barça Atlètic crest with a diamond-shaped detail. The same design is now used by the men's team, in white and sparkling tones. It is expected that the home jersey will also use this design on the collar and sleeves.
