Something has changed in the new Celtic FC Jersey

That of Celtic in Glasgow is one of the most recognisable, authentic and unchanging shirt designs in world football. The sight of the green and white horizontal stripes unmistakably harkens back to all the imagery revolving around last season's Scottish champion club, which recently also unveiled its home kit for the 2023/24 season. Together with adidas, the club took up the traditional hoops that have been part of the Scots' uniform since 1923, adding an additional reference to Celtic Park, the legendary stadium built in 1892 and nicknamed Paradise by the green-and-white fans.  

In the new jersey presented first of all, darker colours prevail compared to past models. Influencing this effect is the inclusion of black details such as the collar, the adidas three stripes and the logo of the technical sponsor on the chest. Another novelty is the work on the hoops, reinterpreted with an almost tortoiseshell effect that recalls a historical symbol of the club and in particular of the stadium. The geometric mosaic is a reference to the entrance of the first Celtic Park and to the decorative glass window with black outlines that greeted the fans at the main entrance of the stadium. An interesting creative choice that gives an original touch to the Celtic jersey and at the same time reinforces the club's tradition and history. This tradition also returns in the back of the neck of the jersey, where the Celtic cross on a red oval shield, used as a crest on the club's first jerseys, is inserted, an emblem later replaced with the better known four-leaf clover.
