Umbro presenta la maglia away del PSV 2018-19
Umbro did it again
May 3rd, 2018
If you had not noticed yet, nothing at the moment is more fashionable than the retro jerseys inspired by the victories of the past. The last in chronological order to be launched - there's a video with Hirving Lozano and Steven Bergwijn and a very explicit motto, 'create new history' - is the PSV Eindhoven's away shirt designed by Umbro: the new Dutch champions have already worn it last Sunday in the 3-3 away draw against ADO Den Haag.
The jersey did not remember the club's social colors instead, it is white and light blue in honor of the team that managed to make the treble in 1988 winning the Dutch championship, the national cup, and the (old) Champions League. On the occasion of the Stuttgart final won by penalties against Benfica, the Dutch dressed exactly a white and light blue shirt, which inspired them after 30 years. Among the special details, behind the neck in the back of the shirt, there is printed the date and the location of that final. Another detail that stands out immediately to the eye is the presence of the double diamond pattern at the lower end of the sleeves: the authentic trademark of the technical sponsor, Umbro, who created something similar with the new Everton shirt.
