The Spanish national federation wants to leave adidas
"The conditions that were agreed do not conform to the criteria that the RFEF considers minimally acceptable"

The Real Federación Española de Fútbol (RFEF) announced with a very explicit statement the desire to move away from adidas, the technical sponsor that since 1992 has been producing the shirts of Roja, in a thirty-year period in which they have also won a World Cup and two Europeans Cups.
The contract with adidas is not expiring, in fact, it should last until 2026, however according to the Spanish Federation "The conditions that were agreed upon when it was signed years ago do not conform to the criteria of legality, transparency and equity that the RFEF considers minimally acceptable".
The contract that currently links RFEF to adidas was signed during the presidency of Ángel María Villar and brings back to the Federation 10 million euros per season, a much lower figure than the sponsorship contracts of other European teams. Therefore, the RFEF is willing to officially open the door to big brands, to obtain the supply of the "Red Furies" uniforms. The federation has announced that it will continue to respect the agreement with adidas up to the date on which the contractual resolution will take effect, however, on the horizon, some already see the shadow of PUMA, the eternal rival of the German brand and determined to invest more and more in the football.
