Even after decades since the first manga series and the following anime, Captain Tsubasa is still an inspiration for generations of football’s lovers. Born as a japanese phenomena, Captain Tsubasa quickly has become a worldwide sensation for everyone who’s dreaming running behind a football. For its capacity to connect cultures, J-League (the Japan Professional Football League) has joined forces with legendary Captain Tsubasa creator Yōichi Takahashi to create a one-of-a-kind pitch in the Ratchathewi district of central Bangkok.
A rehabilitated community field featuring a repaved surface and hand-drawn illustrations of Thai J-League icons Chanathip Songkrasin, Theerathon Bunmathan, and Sittichok Paso, this court ensures a environment for the homegrown heroes of tomorrow and serves as an everyday reminder of the power of their dreams. Every week these superstars inspire the next generation of Thailand from afar and now the J-League is proud to give back to the community a place to make their dreams come true, with the help of the great Yōichi Takahashi.
