Marni has transformed a basketball jersey into a bag
The Tank Top Bag continues the aesthetics of the Italian brand between vintage and playfulness

Marni under the guidance of Francesco Risso has put at the center of its aesthetics the self-irony and playfulness of its items, so that you always have to look a couple of times before really understanding what it is about. As in this case, an old basketball jersey, one of those that seems to have just come out of a dusty locker of a 70's gym, but which has actually been transformed into a tote bag to be carried on the shoulder. All you had to do was sew the bottom edge and close the end to create a tote bag. The perforated mesh fabric that anyone who has taken physical education knows well is perfectly suited to create a spacious bag and the jersey straps become comfortable handles.
Available in four colors, in orange with yellow-blue borders, in cream with yellow-red borders, in black with white-red borders and yellow with green-white borders, it features contrasting Marni lettering on the front, reminiscent of the old logos printed on game jerseys. A taste between vintage and creativity that distinguishes the entire collection presented at the last Milan Fashion Week, in which bags played a central role.
