Let's prepare for the best jersey of 2023
The agreement between adidas and the Jamaican national team is by no means to be underestimated
January 5th, 2023
The year 2023 is here and it has brought us the gift of one of the most unexpected agreements, the one between adidas and the Jamaican national team. The new partnership was officially announced by the Federation on the last day of 2022 and will last four years: 'this special partnership will not only celebrate Jamaican football, but also Jamaican style and culture'. The agreement replaces that of Umbro, which has sponsored the green, yellow and black national team since 2018. And even if Jamaica is not one of the winning national teams, capable of imposing its own game in the world, in the past from a stylistic point of view it has always churned out jerseys that have remained in history, Kappa's jersey for the '98 World Cup in France being a perfect example.

Now it is time to start again, taking precisely the point from the past but starting again from the present. Yes, because this season adidas has released a pre-match shirt for Arsenal in the colours of the Jamaican flag. A shirt with an all-over geometric print that pays homage to those who call both north London and the Caribbean island state home. And given the recent jerseys released this season, given the cultural heritage and invaluable legacy that the national team carries with it, one can expect nothing less than that the Jamaican jersey will become the best jersey of the year, in anticipation of the next historic qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
